What are single sided PCBs? 

Single sided Printed Circuit Boards are circuit boards with one layer of conducting material on one side of the board, while the other side is used for incorporating different electronic components.

Where are single sided PCBs used?

Single sided printed circuit boards are commonly used in an array of electronics and applications, including: camera systems, printers, radio equipment, calculators, and much more.

What is single sided vs double sided PCBs?

Single-sided PCB traces are present on only one side, while double-sided PCBs have traces on both sides with top and bottom layers. The components and conductive copper are mounted on both sides of a double-sided PCB, and this leads to the intersection or overlap of the trace.

● Board manufacturing speed is slower, so the volume of production is lower

● Meets the space constraints in the circuit design

● Excellent for higher technologies and demanding applications

● More flexibility in circuit routing

● There is an intersection and overlap of traces

● Difficult to troubleshoot and repair
