​PCB circuit board: methods for checking and avoiding short circuit in PCB circuit boards.

The damage caused to PCBA by short-circuiting is comparatively large, minor enough to burn the components and large enough to scrap the pcbA;  meanwhile, short circuit is the most common fault in PCB circuit boards. So, what is the check and avoid PCB short circuit method?

1. Check the PCB board before manual welding and use a multimeter to check for short circuits in the critical circuits;  Then, after soldering one chip at a time, a multimeter was used to test for power and ground short-circuits.

2. When welding, be careful of small-scale capacitors, especially power filter capacitors, which can easily cause a short circuit between the power supply and the ground.

3. If there is a BGA chip, it is better to split the power supply of each chip during the design and connect it with a magnetic bead or 0 oHM resistance. It is important to note that due to the difficulty of BGA welding, it is easy to short-circuit the adjacent power and ground two welding balls if it is not automatically welded.

4. Open the PCB on your computer, light up the short-circuited network, and check which locations are closest to each other and most easily connected.

5. Once a short circuit is found, you can take a board and cut the line, then slowly troubleshoot by energizing each part of the functional block separately. This approach is suitable for single/double plates.

6. The use of short circuit localization analyzers for detection is also an effective method.
